This $58.1 million package includes a citywide sidewalk initiative to make walking safer and easier, street improvements across several key neighborhoods, and important drainage upgrades to help reduce flooding and keep our community moving.

The Citywide Sidewalk Initiative will create a safer, more connected network of sidewalks across Beaumont by building new sidewalks, repairing damaged sections, adding accessibility ramps, and improving pedestrian safety features throughout the city.

Improvements
Several key streets in Beaumont — including Lucas, Avenue A, Avenue C, Carroll, Sycamore, Doucette, Dollinger, Cottonwood, 7th, and Gladys — are due for major repairs. Work will include resurfacing, curb and gutter repairs, new markings, and storm sewer upgrades to improve safety and provide smoother travel.

Proposition A includes several projects aimed at improving drainage and reducing flooding risks across Beaumont. These efforts focus on restoring existing ditches and storm sewers, maintaining the City’s large drainage system, and investing in long-term upkeep to keep neighborhoods safer and streets more reliable.
