To ensure transparency and community involvement, city council established the Beaumont Bond Advisory Committee (BBAC) to carefully evaluate potential projects and provide recommendations.

The BBAC is made up of 17 community members representing a cross-section of the city. Each council member appointed two citizens to serve on the committee, and the city manager selected an additional three members. The BBAC is designed to bring a broad range of perspectives and expertise to the table as the committee works to assess community needs and prioritize projects that could be funded by the proposed bond.

BBAC members have been working diligently for months to sift through projects, hearing detailed presentations from city staff and consultants, looking at community survey data, and discussing each potential project. The committee’s goal is to provide a recommendation to city council before the end of July.
